MACOS SHOWS A SAFETY WARNING?

macOS may show a message that Kyte cannot be opened because Apple cannot verify the developer. This is a Gatekeeper check, not necessarily a problem with the app.

Before you continue

Only use these steps if you downloaded Kyte from the official Kyte purchase or download link. If the file came from another source, delete it instead and download a fresh copy from your purchase email.

Open it from Finder

  1. Close the warning dialog and make sure Kyte is not already open.
  2. Open Finder, then open your Applications folder.
  3. Control-click (or right-click) the Kyte app and choose Open.
  4. Click Open in the confirmation dialog.

macOS remembers this choice, so you should be able to open Kyte normally after that.

If macOS still blocks it

  1. Try opening Kyte once, then dismiss the warning.
  2. Open System Settings and go to Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to the Security section and find the message about Kyte being blocked.
  4. Select Open Anyway, then confirm by clicking Open.

On older macOS versions, this setting is under System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General.
